    Discount Tickets Monday for Gonk Musical

    Reliving The Round Table: Cocktails and Culture at the Historic Algonquin Hotel.

    Ginny Reddington and Tom Dawes, authors of The Talk of the Town. Former Madison Avenue jingle writers Redington and Dawes describe their adventures in writing Talk of the Town, an award-winning musical about the Algonquin Round Table wits, which debuted Off-Off Broadway and now plays at the Algonquin's Oak Room. The playwright's remembrances will be followed by an optional performance of the show.

    July 31. Cocktail hour from 6–7 p.m. Lecture from 7–7:45 p.m.

    Followed by a performance of Talk of the Town, 8:30 p.m. (optional).

    Tickets are $25 each, for the lecture and hors d'oeuvres. Cash bar available. Following the talk, guests may attend an optional performance of Talk of the Town in the Oak Room (discounted tickets $40 per person, for lecture attendees). Alternatively, attendees may elect to enjoy dinner in the Round Table Room ($65 per person prix fixe dinner, includes wine, tax, and gratuity). To reserve, please call 212-840-6800.
